Alison Levine is an adjunct professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences & Leadership and an advisor to the Thayer Leader Development Group at the United States Military Academy at West Point. She also serves on the board of the Coach K Center on Leadership and Ethics at Duke University, where she earned her MBA. Having tackled extreme conditions in the outdoors as well as in the business world, Levine is one of the few inspirational speakers to have presented at the highly prestigious World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland - alongside world leaders and top CEOs.
Levine's professional career has encompassed healthcare, technology, and finance. After working for investment banking firm Goldman Sachs, she left Wall Street in 2003 to serve as deputy finance director for Arnold Schwarzenegger in his successful bid to become Governor of California. She now has her own consulting firm, Daredevil Strategies, which specializes in organizational effectiveness, leadership development, and team dynamics. By drawing parallels between staying alive in the mountains and thriving in a fast-paced business world, Levine focuses on the topics of leadership, teamwork, overcoming odds, taking responsible risks and dealing with changing environments.
