Abstract: Expert statistical support in complex litigation can strengthen or weaken your client’s case. Irrespective of the matter, if the work performed by counsel and the expert are misaligned the outcome will typically not be in the favor of your client. Through this webinar, we will present case studies in the complex litigation space that will illustrate how key litigation approaches and missteps helped and hindered respective litigation strategies. The areas addressed will be expert due diligence, multiple expert alignment, analytical approaches, quality control procedures, and deposition prep. In one example, we will discuss how statistical experts have been tasked to support other experts who were partially excluded. In another example, we will demonstrate the use of additional statistical support to prove the econometric reliability of the tools being used.
