Optional Wednesday Activities

Join us from 12:30 PM - 3:30 PM on an educational adventure to discover multiple historic sites in the Park City area, while tasting fine wines that have been selected to reflect these stunning locations. This three-hour experience will take you all around the Park City area. At each stop, a guide will educate the group on the historic location you are visiting, the wine you are tasting, and why that particular wine was selected to pair with the historic site. Paired nibbles are included. Price is $325 per person - separate registration is required.

Join your friends and colleagues and take in the beautiful scenery of Deer Valley during this guided hike. The group will depart from the Stein Eriksen Lodge from 1:30 PM - 4:00 PM. Transportation will take you to a local trailhead, where you will hike with a guide from All Seasons Adventures for approximately two hours before returning to the hotel. (The specific trail chosen will depend on the weather, but the hike will be easy and open to all levels.) There will be one guide per six hikers, so it is possible that the group may split up, depending on the number of participants. Hikers should bring trail shoes or boots and outerwear appropriate for the weather. Water and snacks will be provided. The cost (including taxes and gratuity) is $112 per person. Click here for more information, and please reach out to us with any questions!

PLAC’s Future Leaders group has organized an exercise that will provide three Future Leader attorneys and three Next Gen Exponent experts the opportunity to prepare for and participate in a mock expert deposition. Using case materials from the trial in Sardis v Overhead Door, the Next Gen experts prepared reports addressing product design, biomechanical engineering, and human factors/warnings. The Future Leaders worked with experienced Sustaining members to prepare to depose the experts in a recorded session. Each Next Gen expert was prepared and defended by another Sustaining member.

Join us on October 19 from 3:00 - 4:30 in Park City to watch 15-minute video segments of the depositions and hear from the participants as well as from a four-member panel of Sustaining members who will provide feedback and commentary to the participants.

Join us from 4:30 PM - 5:30 PM as five fabulous female trailblazers of PLAC return to discuss advancement of women in the organization and ongoing challenges female lawyers continue to face.  This small group roundtable forum is designed to share with one another experiences, triumphs, and ideas for using PLAC for personal and professional development.
